I’ll stick with our old car 🙂 . The new car smell reminds people they have a new car but for me it means I can’t get in their new car.

Yes, I feel that way too, my car was 8 years old when I bought it and cleaned it up. The owner wore a dab-on-oil type of perfume, which didn’t hang around like the solvent based sprays and it was mostly on the seat belt and steering wheel so it was easy to clean off (or cover with foil and fabric like i did on the steering wheel!), so this car was pretty perfect until it started letting the fumes and everything else into the cabin space. I think it’s worse when I’ve had other exposures, too. I may be able to outgass a new car in about a year using heaters and fans? It’s worth a try. 🙂
