Hi guys, I’m happy to share with you my first published interview: ‘New Beginnings—No Turning Back’, an interview with Kathryn Treat, author of Allergic to Life: My Battle for Survival, Courage and Hope. It appeared in the December issue of AESSRA’s Sensitivity Matters Magazine. Sadly, as some of you may already know (and I’m sorry to tell you this if you don’t know already), Treat passed away last December from a stroke. I don’t know if it was related to her illness but I do know she courageously battled and came out on top of a chronic health condition that caused her to be chemically sensitive to moulds and other known chemical irritants. And she managed it all exceedingly well. Her life, and the way she lived it, is an inspiration for us all.

Thank you so much Michellina van Loder for continuing to educate others. Kathryn was talking to me and sharing excerpts on Planet Thrive as she was writing the book. Then her life got busy promoting the book and mine went downhill. I recently went back and read the last post she made on Planet Thrive, the tears of wishing I could have helped her with my knowledge. I was not able to obtain and read her book until after her passing. I so wish she were still of this earth to talk to. Kathryn has inspired me to tell my own story of recovery and survival! I chose Dr. Ziem instead of Dr. Rea and my path has been different; more dramatic in a lot of ways. I did not have the support that Kathryn had or the resources for the treatment she decided to do. I almost starved trying to do it without emotional support or money or a bed to sleep in or a car. The cold ground and mother earth saved me more than once!
Blessings and love to you Lisa Smith!
